Monochrome (for a change) <3

Argh, this morning has been crazy! I received my ALevel results and am super happy!

Here’s a little outfit update, and hopefully will get to post my evening wear, as i’m hoping to go for a drink (or 10) later on ❤

Repeating the jeans, bag and shoes, but pairing with a new purchase, the mesh, stripe top from Primark! Such a bargain, only £5 and I absolutely love it. I wore a plain black cami underneath as it is quite see-through.

Hope you like the look! ❤

Monochrome Lace #OOTD

So today I hit the shops (and coffee shops!)

Here was our lovely afternoon coffee stop at Caffe Nero, fuelling before a day of shopping!

And this is what I wore:

Find my Topshop (sale) shoes HERE, and my new lace top HERE.

My bag is a Primark special, at only £9! And my jeans are a purchase from quite a few months ago, but I love them so much (and they’ve faded lots- (believe it or not, they were black!)) that I actually purchased a new pair of the very same jeans today! They’re the super soft, super skinny jeans from Miss Selfridge. 🙂

My chokers are a set of two from Topshop, featuring the little yin and yang symbol. And my lip colour, again is from Topshop’s cosmetics, called ‘Velvet Lips’.

Here’s a little photograph of today’s newbies:

Like previously mentioned, the jeans are a new version of the ones in the photographs. Alongside this, I purchased a new L’oreal mascara (i’ll let you know how I get along with it!), a couple more of Barry M’s matte nail polishes (I’m sure photographs will follow!), and the little Claire’s purchase is me (almost 20) trying to relive my childhood, purchasing some sparkly butterfly clips!

Thank you for viewing guys,

Love M, ❤

Summer pastels <3

From designer to high-street, at the minute pastels are on trend, with beautiful pieces available in most high-street stores!

I’ve had my eye on this particular top in my local Ark store for weeks now, and 20% discount with ‘UniDays’ finally gave me the final push to purchase it! Not that any excuses were needed 😉 … Anyway, this leads on to this post, featuring my new pastel top.

I teamed up my Ark pastel top, with my new(ish) pale blue jeans from Miss Selfridge, and a faux leather jacket from Topshop to accommodate the chilly breeze. How typical that just days after I make a Summer purchase, the weather turns! These images also feature my new Mel jelly shoes, black with hearts, quite simple and understated, but cute and stylish at the same time ❤

Whilst in the shop, I failed to resist a cute little two-piece shorts and crop top set, so watch this space! Any signs of the sun could call for a new OOTD featuring the cute co-ord!

So, here’s my OOTD 20/05/2014. I hope you like the look, (please excuse my un-photogenic face!)

Meg’s Top Picks

Sorry for my absence!

No excuse really, but i’ve been pretty busy with college stuff (A Levels, exam prep, student finance, accommodate etc…)!

Here is a little update, with the things i’ve been wearing most quite recently:

ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Featuring my Faith heels, JuJu jellies (topshop frilly socks), RiverIsland purse and clutch, Topshop shades, Accessorize necklace, Miss Selfridge top and my new fave Topshop pink lip cream.

What do you guys think?I’d love to know your season’s favourites? ❤

A bit of what i’ve been wearing :)

Sorry for the bad quality IPad photographs, but here’s a few things i’ve wore over the past couple of days:

ImageImage

Above ^ is a casual outfit for a day out shopping. My top is a new one from Miss Selfridge costing £26. I was drawn to the leather look stripes and the super soft material. I wore it with my black skinny jeans (again from Miss Selfridge) and my black flatforms, a purchase from Office. A very grey outfit to match the very grey weather! haha. I did however transform this with my white fur coat.. it brightened my outfit up, and also catered for this freezing cold British weather! Win, win!

^^ Here I wore another pair of Miss Selfridge’s super soft jeans, super soft and super comfortable! I wore it with my new high neck top from Topshop. I love anything with a high neck, and was drawn to the beautiful texture. I was lucky enough to purchase this in the sale for a bargain price of £8! Over the top I wore a black peplum jacket, another sale purchase from last year’s Topshop sale 🙂

Retro 40’s style fashion

First of all, here’s half a *selfie* with my poor attempt at vintage makeup…

Image

Recently i’ve noticed myself being drawn to all things vintage, and today I received an email that I have to share!

Miss Selfridge sent this email, with a ’40’s Tea Dance’ theme, featuring some beautiful vintage pieces!

Here are images taken from the edit, including several of the pieces:

I’m in love with the floral, vintage patterns, and the colours, from pastels to brights!

Here are two of my favourite pieces from the collection:

I’m in love with the high neck detail and pastel colours! Definitely top of my wish list!

Here is the link to the collection, you’re sure to find something beautiful! ❤

*Meg’s Mind*

If ‘vintage’ is fashionable, then does anything really go out of fashion, like ever? I mean, whatever is in fashion at the moment, will be considered vintage in years to come right?

I love how everything comes back ‘in’ again, it means we get to experience these beautiful styles all over again ❤

Black and Grey with a hint of Shimmer!

Urgh… Christmas has come and passed so quickly, now, i’m guessing like for the majority of you, work and college is back in full swing! I’ll post as often as i can, however I must admit i’m not the best morning person… and with that, my outfit choices are not always the most fashionable. In fact, most of my outfits consist of a big warm jumper/hoody and good old jeans/leggings! I guess they are the comfiest outfits for these cold wintery days, so it’s not all bad!

Anyway, today i went for my black skinny’s and grey/leather look sleeved jumper from Miss Selfridge. And teamed it together with my office flatform trainers, Topshop leather look jacket, and a big warm snood! And of course the glam… I used my new holographic purse from River Island, the most amazing present from my lovely friend :’) And I may or may not have matched my nails 😉 This was another amazing christmas present, a metallic silver Ted Baker polish, it goes on so well!
